It's really about time that the Fxtree was opened up to third party filters, i.e. AFX compatibles
Is it a licensing issue?

What I always do for clips that I want to use in the FXTree is create
it from the noIcon source. That way you can always be sure that it will
load fine.
I've done some very complex effects in the past where the only input in
the tree is the noIcon texture!
