Title: RE: FXTree output to Render Tree
I guess after seeing how Combustion generally works with AFX plugins, I underestimated the amount of work needed to allow plug-ins to interface with the FxTree.

Is there much interest in more developers adapting FxTree compatible plug-ins like Re:Vision have with Twixtor & ReelSmart Motion Blur?
The Foundrys Tinderbox filters, Knoll light factory and Trapcode come to mind.

Well after effects plug-in support requires reverse engineering the API, then emulating the main API, all the services and image formats, and how things work in AfterFX, plus all the optional helper APIs ("suites") that any popular plug-in your might want to support, calls, so you have to try each plug-in one by one - since you can't know in advance which function they will call - and debug them and hack your clone of the API to emulate the functions and their bugs until the plugins appear to work.  I would think this would be pretty obvious..  the products that have some level of support have worked on it for years.

It's really about time that the Fxtree was opened up to third party filters, i.e. AFX compatibles

Is it a licensing issue?
