Subject : Create Pipes from imported Illustrator file...?
Hello,

for a current illustration I try to convert an imported map from Adobe Illustrator consisting of about 100 separate lines - some closed, some not - to thin pipes by extruding a circle along the curves. But only the first curve from the Illustrator file is used for the extrusion. I tried also to extrude along an axis but the same thing happens.
My searches only showed other people having the same problem so:
Is there a trick to get it working for all the subcurves at once or do I really have to import the curves one by one?

If there is no direct solution, I would like to see either the importer improved in later XSI Versions so that it is able to create separate curves instead of subcurves or even better, make the create-commands finally subcurve-aware (long overdue anyway ;-) ).

For now, I think I will use SolidThinking for creating the pipes and import as IGES.

Thanks in advance for hints.
