So, you may have noticed that Python 2.5a has been compiled for the x64 architecture (hooray!). I downloaded and installed it, ran the requisite tests and yes, it seems to be registered as a valid and working ActiveX language plug-in. All good. I downloaded the pywin32 source (build 207) and compiled and linked it for x64 (not as straightforward as you would think; it took several days of going through the code and changing type names to compile properly) and ran the scripts to install the dll's, apparently successfully.
And yet, still no Python in the scripting language prefs pulldown. Does anybody have any idea what specifically XSI requires from pywin32 so I can narrow down my search for the problem?
On that note, world anybody with a 64-bit machine care to join me in trying to get this stuff to work? I'd be more than happy to share my binaries and updated source....
cheers,
Brett
