Hello Kim,

Yes, I did...
But the problem exists only on one side of the object
depending on the rotation direction.

Try the script I sent in the last email and do a render region on it
on the camera viewport.

Cheers,
Filipe

Are you un-premultiplying your fill before you composite it?

Subject: Reflections with motion blur problem.

Hello

Yesterday I just found out one of
our renders of a rolling and bouncing
"paint can" had a small problem in compositing, as it showed
a dark band that looked like the alpha channel didn't fit the colour:

http://paragrama.net/manalokos/albums/album07/lata.jpg

After some debugging I realized that this was not a problem
originated on my material, but on the reflections themselves
combined with motion blur.

Here is a render of a sphere spinning very fast with 100%
reflectivity, I notice 2 issues:

http://paragrama.net/manalokos/albums/album07/bola.jpg

1 - The reflection is blurred, It shouldn't be at all!
2 - the dark band reappears

Does anyone have a solution for the problem?
I beleive this is a important issue and should be corrected.

Best regards
Filipe Alves

Here is a script for a scene showing the problem:
