Hi Mathieu,
I sent you this (see below) reply yesterday, but I guess it must have
been spam-filtered, or got lost in the ether.... Just incase it was
filtered I thought I'd try replying to the list this time. Anyway here
it is again, but without the attachment, which you can find here:
http://www.danyargici.com/XSI/TEMP/drunk_fish.zip
Thanks again, and again...and again.... and again.......... ;)
*I've attached the file without the event script I originally posted as
my instance sources are probably oriented differently in this scene.
But you can see what the problem is quite clearly. This is %90 correct,
however as I said, the fish seem to get pretty messed up in terms of
which way is up...
I'm not sure how it should be realisticly speaking... I guess I kinda
figured that even if their top fins always pointed up it would at least
be passable. Right now they look a like eels!
Like I said (and keep saying!), any help you can offer would really help
me out of a corner... I can get by using SCOPS for expressions etc. but
vector manipulation is just beyond me right now! I hope to solve that
in the near future, and hopefully one day I can return the favour! At
the very least, if you ever find yourself in Istanbul, I'd be happy to
buy you a beer, show you around etc....
I'm using XSI v5.1
Thanks again,
DAN *

Hum... that particle event script should work but it's hard to
identify the
problem with only this information...
