1 In a material select the node you want to share from an explorer.
2 Run the script and pick the parameter you want to connect in the other
material.
In the XSI object model you will find the source object. From the sdk doc :
"Sources are references to data which are instantiated. For example, a shape source becomes a
ShapeClip in the animation mixer when it is instantiated there."
To find a node connected to an other in the render tree we use "NodeB = NodeA.parameters
("something").Source". So we can imagine than all the render tree nodes are like image or shape clip ! Why it is not exposed in the material explorer is a mystery for me ?
I think I used this script only for two projects and in one I suspect lot of crash because of this nodes, Use it at your own risk !
