Hi Kim,
yeah, after thinking about it and checking the specs it´s probably best to use PointOven/Collada/*.fbx/*.obj to export things to Maya and do SRT animation, maybe even facialanimation (i´m limited in terms of time but would still like to participate in the club) and export to *.x3d there.
Having no idea about scripting (I can´t throw my limited flash5 knowledge in here...) made me believe I could simply use the .xml formating of Collada and miracolously use X3Dedit to interpret that into *.x3d. lol. I´m stupid...
That´s why I switched to doing art (I don´t speak for all artists).
