There were definitely problems with obj import in 5.0. I thought 5.1 had
been improved but Raf has had different experiences, I think. My fix
involved importing the original .obj into 4.2 and re-exporting it from
there. After that it behaved just fine in 5.0. Maybe worth trying if you
can't bear 4.2 any more.
