i cant import the obj files into 4.2 it crashes or goes to sleep while
5.1 does a great job at this.
Try and save it as .xsi file in 5.x and then read that in 4.2.
And yes, XSI sits there and is very busy doing 'something'
before the render actually starts, which it does in expected speed.
I have to go back to 4.2 as this and a few other issues have to be
resolved before I can go back and work with 5.x.
And I want my Sunday back.... Have to work late into the night now
and had a fight with THE 'lady' because of that...
