Did anyone of you guys try the tools (the ones you can ask for) allready?
I created an account to get access to the ressources library, the FACS stuff, but haven´t contacted them for the Maya tools yet.
While I like the idea of doing research in the area of believable human expression, I wonder why people are so keen to adhere their references to the FACS standard or the book from Faigin, Facial Expression for more than naming conventions? It´s not phonems...
Just about every FACS reference image I got access to until now looks like the comical exaggeration of the emotion sought to display.
We had "1984" in german boradcast yesterday night, it´s a shame Richard Burton isn´t available as a source for a reference shoot anymore. This guy could act. Damn. Hats off.
