if the cluster is alwayscomplete it should always reflect the geometry's
array afaik, and usually envelopes are on alwayscomplete clusters in
most workflows.
is that the case or not Bernard?

The character is exactly the same before and after. Basically I open
the scene in one instance of XSI, export the weight preset, open the
scene in another instance of XSI, remove the envelope cluster (wich
takes out everything), add a cluster, add an envelope, and load the
weight preset.
Just think the cluster is your problem, i have found several times
that the index of the cluster elements can be different from one
cluster to another containing exactly the same points. So when you
write-read the weight preset from the first cluster to the second one,
it just take the wrong values.
