Royal Render:
1. There are extra fees if you want to you use more than two 3d packages and two 2D packages.
This way it is cheaper for companies that don't use all render apps and don't want to write own render scripts.
Bigger companies are writing own render scripts to use Rrender for anything.
Updating files on the render farm or to implement own render solutions.
2. Platforms
RRender does not run on MACs.
Supporting a different platform like a MAC requires more time for development.
3. Rrender was new to the market.
Even 4 Years ago RRender was not very known.
If a company wants to buy a render farm, they ask other companies or artists.
If a an artist comes to a company and tells them that they have used xxx
and it worked, then the company probaply buys this.
Same as if you are a freelancer. If a company requires some artists for a project,
they first ask other artists, if they know some freelancer.
I think this is the main difference. RRender was higher prices at the beginning.
But with version 2.0 there was a price drop.
Now RRender is used in productions at a lot of companies,
but it would still not possible to increase the price to the same.
Although RRender has features that no other render manager has.
The best is to request test licenses for both render manager.
It is not the price that makes a product better.
