Hi Chris,

I wouldn't dream of going back to 4.2 unless i run in to a show stopper in 5.1 which I haven't yet.

Like I said, I think my instability here with 5.1 might be graphics related - I just need to investigate. Nothing stopping me in my work though. I have long ago aquired the habit of ctrl S for every major change I like.

I think it is a very good idea to pay attention to the posts on consumer card driver versions - only weird thing is when 5.1 seems more touchy than 5.0 on the same hw rig.

Hello Morten, Oh here i'm wanting to run 5.1 and it seems everyone
says 4.2 is more stable which I couldn't agree more, argh i'm a bit
skeptic now. If I get 5.1 working I'll do most work on 4.2 and some
on 5.1 so I don't loose anything.

I'd say once or twice a day, dependant on what I'm at. I find 5.1 much less
stable than 5.0 and 4.2.

If you have a thing for Max I can't help you ;)

I know this is a big can of worms, but what the hey.

How often does xsi crash for the peeps on this list? Daily? Bi weekly?
Hardly ever?

Is it possible to run it and keep your hair?

I'm not looking for specific help or sympathy even, ( thanks, tho, to all
who've helped me here before) just doing a survey really.

I want to buy a full advanced license, but I'm commitment phobic
generally. (I may still have a thing for Max).
