This frustrates me a great deal also, though apart from the solutions you have mentioned i dont think there is anyway around it at all. Yet it seems like such an obvious thing to be able to do.

Can someone clarify the whole ppg reordering problem?

If I want to reorder the dozens of proxy and custom parameters on a PPG (I just used the ShapeWeights PPG already added to when you make shapes), I can only do that by:

cntl-shift right mouse > install
Then reordering the list of attrs...

(Or I also stumbled into the custom property wizard, which seems to have lots of cool options.)

BUT, once I start with the custom layouts though, two things happen:

-new paramters I add the usual way don't show up

-all the connections are broken and nothing works.

Really, all I want to do is move some attrs up or down. Can it please, please be easier?
