Yes, it works. I can't remember which file it was, but you need to change a line with the Batchserve install to point to your 5.1 dir.

PS: i know this won't help me setting satellite- and distributed
batchrendering up. for that i think i have to fight myself through all
infos i possibly can gather. it is so complicated....i am an artist with
tech background and it is still too much for me, so possibly you hear
more questions about that setup from me after i have tried it out myself ;)
