P.S. to my previous mail (which I haven't received off the list yet, so I can't quote it :)
if the creases/corners you want need to be aligned to some edges, and not go in a cross pattern, then you'll also need edge clusters to represent the direction of these creases, as you will want to align the normals at the samples on a plane and bias between two vectors and not between N (where N would be the poly neighborhood count of the point)
