I've run into this a couple of times now, and I think I have it narrowed down to one particular instance of using link with

Linking and setting relative values works fine on tranforms

but have any of you had issues when linking shape weights.

Say I have a spheres posy driving a shapes weight

I link both with sphere posy at 0 and shape weight at 0
Set relative values

move sphere to new posy and then change weight value to 1..
set relative values

If you then move the sphere up and down in Y, the weight values remain at 0.

If I look at the animation editor, I have two keys.. both showing the weight value at 0 regardless of what the sphere posy value happens to be..

Its Easy to work around.. just adjust the curves values accordingly, but when I'm showing new users how 'easy' the parameter connection editor is to work with, this just kind of throws a wrench into things and adds some unneccesary steps.

I've run into this in previous versions of XSI and want to confirm this as a bug, and not just plain idiocy on my part.

Adam
