I had a look at the demo of silo and managed to create
a mesh that would have undeletable creased edges,
an ear, sent it in to suppport and heard nada. (>file anyone?)
Good to hear the guys are listening in general, thought.

This and the somewhat unorthodox GUI (may still be efficient)
withheld me from picking it as my modeling app, also checked
modo but disliked the gridsnap/all over RTS manipulator way.

That´s what had me give XSI a try, +/- at an incredible speed.
I still can´t believe it now and then when I switch (Alt+TAB)
over to Maya and have a direct comparison.

XSI isn´t perfect for modeling (especially the Foundation I´m
currently about to add to my toolbox) but it´s definitely a great
piece of software for the price. Blender might become a tough
competitor for modeling, as well as modo and silo and even wings
but currently (e.g. before siggraph) it´s the most convenient way
to model meshes and transfer properties. Let´s see...

On a side note, I was talking to the silo guys at Sigg05 and I have to
mention how cool those guys were. They REALLY wanted to hear my ideas and
make silo better. I was pretty impressed to say the least.
