Hello Adrian, yes I do agree these other smaller apps are gaining better as for how much credit they get is another thing. I tried hexagon but it's understanding how to do just peltmapping maybe there is a tutorial on the site I can look at and just do that i'll re-look into unfold3D as well know.

I'm sure XSI will be adding peltmapping in 6.0 - not that it helps you right now. But I've found it quite easy to export my model to Hexagon, do the peltmapping and re-import into XSI. You dont have to learn to model in the other proggie, just peltmap. I still prefer XSI for modelling, as powerful as these other little programs are getting. There's also Unfold3D.. whichi is very focused on peltmapping... no modelling tools at all. Adrian L. Since Tim :) has decided to branch the subject off a little bit I will add to this and i'm sure many others will. Most of these other apps are just modelling apps it seems, you still need to go into another highend program like XSI do do the rest. So I'd rather do it all in one like XSI. As I came from LW over 2 yrs ago to XSI, I can't bear to use another program plus the learning that goes along with any program.
