copy shape disappears when freezing

Subject : copy shape disappears when freezing

I just discovered that when you Freeze Modeling on a shape animated model anywhere in the stack, live copyShapes (select shapes) lose their relation/connection with the target model. Yikes. Why is that? And how can I get around it? Any way to reconnect the relation?
