Hey all - I just finished some personal shader work.
A
lot of friends of mine, working in print, are having some trouble with
rendering ultra-high resolution images using mental ray, because it sometimes
does not save the image after completing the render. I would like to provide a
workaround for this problem, so I implemented an output shader which saves a
TGA image of the completed render. I used TGA raw uncompressed, because it is
the simplest image file format whatsoever.
You
can find the shader on http://www.mindthink.de
cheers!
