Hi,

Nah, I tried it recently and that doesn't work, you get the same problem.


In fact it would be appreciated if Partitions and Groups could act more similarly. 

IFor example, it would be really nice to be able to put hierarchies in Partitions in teh same way you can with Groups, so that they would update when objects are added & removed form the various branches.

Partitions. It'll still  lock the material while you're in that pass but at
least it'll work.

Partitions are sort of groups, so you could try groups, I guess. One for
each object then override on the group.
