Hi,
I'm somewhat bemused by what would seem to be a simple task.
I have a curve with uniformly spaced knots, and an object path
constrained along it from 1-100% with essentially linear animation.
(Just an ease in & out).
I shrink wrap the curve to a surface (closest surface) and the object
now travels along the path at varying speeds rather than constant.
Is
there any way I can retain the percentage values of the pre-deformed
curve for the constrained object's path animation? Having only a
(very) loose understanding of the maths involved, I'd have though that
reparameterizing the curve to uniform might work but seems no.
Obviously there are other ways to do this but I'm curious about the
path animation method because its the easiest way I know of to lay a
scene out in space and edit it quickly.
Thanks, and sorry if I'm missing something excrutiatingly obvious..
