plotting woes

Subject : plotting woes

Hi there,

I have a character that is in a static pose. The pose utilises some roll on the first bone in the chain of the arms and legs (kinematic joint>resolution plane>roll)….the feet and hands are constrained into the desired position/orientation by controls.

Now I’d expect when exporting as .xsi, for this roll and these constraints to be taken into account when plotting, but when I reimport the .xsi, the arms and legs are clearly not where they should be…as if the rotations have been plotted incorrectly and/or the constraints have been ignored.

In the .xsi export dialog, ‘plot’ is checked and ‘constraints’ are off, which according to the online help will force constraints to be plotted. Though it makes no difference if constraints is checked on or off, the result is the same. I’m sure I’ve done this before with no problems whatsoever, so I guess I’m doing something dumb here but can’t for the life of me figure out what it is. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jeff.

P.S. I’m using v5.01
