I was performing "pluck and play" procedures with 3D software years
before 3D Studio or Max was even born. You have to be willing to break
your software if you want to get the most out of it. Knowing only what's
in the manual will restrict you to only what's in the manual. 3D
software's can often do wondrous things which even the developer's are
unaware of, regardless whether you are using Max, Maya or XSI. Knowing
what a software is NOT capable of can often be more important than
knowing what it IS capable of.
