I think you're asking an awful lot for anything that low res to reflect
well. It's not going to shade that well and reflections tend to make surface
anomalies look worse.

Have you already tried to create hard edges on the boundaries of that
object? It looks like the distortion is caused by interpolated vertex
normals. To check, take a look at those normals, they have to be splitted up
and not appear unified at the edges of your object to make it work the way
you want.
