Ton's of scripts that are basically the same piece of code with a single variable being different.
My initial idea was to use Script Buttons to parse an argument to the script command referencing only a single script for all. And since it's lots and lots of them I wanted to stack them inside Menu Buttons to not make that Toolbar extend over half of XSI's interface.
Looks like I have the choice of of using one or the other, which will likely be the Menu Buttons to make life worthwile for our animators and hell for me duplicating a script call over and over again with variing variables... or is someone having a smarter idea? It's Friday and the sun is shining for the first time since days again, that might affect my concentration... ;)
Cheers!

I know exactly what you are talking about and it has been driving me nuts.
I do recall I tried hacking the xml to put one in there and it didn't work... though I could have done it wrong. Its probably worth trying to hack it again just to be sure.

Sorry, not really, that's the exact place where I'm currently stuck. Getting a Menu button works as it should, but I'd like to fill it with Script Buttons instead of regular commands. To clearify a bit here, I'm talking about the nice functionality feature called "Script Button" available from the Customize Toolbars dialogue, where the button actually does not reference a script file, but carries the code directly which then gets part of the toolbar file.
Sorry for any confusion, and thanks anyways!

The wizard for editing the look of the menu is weak, but you can always edit the xml by hand after you've generated it. > >Does that help? >-Todd > >-----Original Message----- >From: owner-xsi(at)Softimage.COM [mailto:owner-xsi(at)Softimage.COM] On Behalf Of André Adam &ggt;Sent: Friday, June 02, 2006 8:12 AM >To: xsi(at)Softimage.COM >Subject: Script Button in Menu Buttons? > >Heya! > >Is it possibble to store a Script Button inside of a Menu Button for a >custom toolbar?
