Rendered files to the AVID

Subject : Rendered files to the AVID

We have been sending sequential TIF files or uncompressed Quicktime to the AVID, that works but it take awhile to import the files in. Someone suggest using the Avid Meridan Codec, but when I tried to convert the tif files to it in Quicktime 6.5 I am getting an error "ERROR 2008: nvalid media data was found in the movie"

Anyone know of another way?
