Since I guess you are not using the avid as a online suite you don't
need to supply the full quality. I found that using PhotoJPEG codec in
quicktime works pretty well for Avid suites to import. But what ever
you do.... importing to Avid suites will always take time :)

We have been sending sequential TIF files or uncompressed Quicktime to
the AVID, that works but
it take awhile to import the files in. Someone suggest using the Avid
Meridan Codec, but when I tried to convert
the tif files to it in Quicktime 6.5 I am getting an error "ERROR 2008:
nvalid media data was found in the movie"
Anyone know of another way?
Thanks,
