Subject: Rendering large Images...

The rendering works without any problem over several hours, but after
that, when tryting to save the image, MR says that the frame buffer is
invalid. Nothing is saved. :-(

For what it's worth, I had the same problem last week. I was getting this when either trying to render huge res files, or doing 5K rendermaps.

The odd thing was that some machines were giving me this error, others
didn't, even though they were 'identical' - same specs like memory,
processor, etc...

There was even one case where a 1gig machine on the farm would render
and the 2gig machine was crapping out... Unreal but true!

Sounds like a memory fragmentation issue. Try rebooting the machine and immediately rendering (without launching a bunch of other apps first).

You might also try Enable Flushable BSP.
