Hi Joe,

I've never had the render region not show the textures, but I have had that with the viewport.

Here's my steps to get it to always show, hopefully they'll fix your render region as well.

Go Preferences->Rendering and in Image Proxies switch on generate automatically and set
the max proxy level to 16:1

I think that was all, but I'm not sure.

Cheers,

Alan.

How can I tell XSI to ALWAYS load in my hi-res textures? A lot of times
when I re-open a scene that has some big textures they do not load and are
replaced with no_icon.pic images. I do not like the behavior. I want the
textures I specify without a bunch of mouse clicks.

Also, half the time I am not able to force XSI to load the textures even
if I go to the image node and click load. The render region still shows
the no_icon. Am I missing something here? I just want the textures I
assign to be used...
