This was a bug in 5.0 that has been fixed in 5.11.  I'm glad that you've found the appropriate workaround, and I apologize for letting this one slip through.

Found it, had to animate the passive/active state of the rigid body rather than the mute!!

You may still have to set it’s initial state to be the start of it’s animation.

Hello,

I’ve got a little problem!  I’ve got an object with key frames for position and rotation, part way through this move I want to turn it into an active rigid body and have it fall down onto a ground plane.  So I set everything as it should be, Dynamics initial state set to posfromanim and rotfromanim.  Rigid body properties muted at start and part way through the move activated.  When the rigid body is activated it just snaps back to the origin. Am I missing something obvious? I’m on XSI 5.0 any ideas appreciated!

Cheers

Lawrence
