INFO and error messages

Hi guys

very often when rendering on the command line (and in the GUI for that matter) I see 'info', 'warning' and assorted error messages. Is there somewhere I can look these up? There's loads of documentation for XSI, but I'm not sure that these are XSI messages... I think they are mental ray....

just curious mostly.
