The "out of the box solution" is to duplicate your object before the
problematic operator ( a lattice for example ) and apply a shape key from
the copy after the problematic operator. This way you can modulate the

Interesting. I was wondering if a shape might work. So shapes let you blend
through weightmaps? I did not see where you set that. I will have to study
the docs.
Hmmm. Something tells me it has something to do with the command "Modulate
Shape Key With Weightmap" ;-)
