Keyboard mapping

Hi,
 
I'm trying to setup a couple of keyboard maps to change between layouts.
 
I would like to map
 
Layouts-> Default  to ctrl+alt+V
and
Layouts-> Compositing to ctrl+alt+C
 
but they are not being remembered when XSI restarts.
 
I've even tried editing the keyboard map files but no luck!
e.g.
C:\users\adam_s\Softimage\XSI_5.1\Application\keymaps\adamkeys.xsikm
 
Is anyone having a similar problem?
