I would personally avoid wireless mice altogether. They all lag. I even tried a superduperhighspeed gaming mouse that wasn't supposed to do it. Well, it's collecting dust in my box of nerdiness now.
I know it's not a true 3 button mouse but this is what I have at home now and I loooove it. All the buttons are programmable.

The Logitech MX1000 is excellent. It has a wheel, but it also has smaller
buttons in front of and behind the wheel which can be reprogrammed for use
with apps which require good middle mouse button support.
