"Consider Bump" for Ambient Occlusion Maps

Subject : "Consider Bump" for Ambient Occlusion Maps
I'm trying to render out an ambient occlusion map that uses a bump map, but can't seem to get it to work. Documentation is sparse.

The material of the object has an image hooked into the bump slot of that material (with the automatic Color2Vector node inbetween), but that doesn't seem to make a difference when I render the amb occlusion map. Has anybody done this successfully? I know that XSI is notoriously finicky when it comes to using bump maps in any shape or form...
