You need to have a 'bump map generator' going into the 'bump' of a 'bump map' node, then an AO node which goes into the input of the 'bump map' node. Connect the 'bump map' node to the material surface and you get bump mapped ao.

I'm trying to render out an ambient occlusion map that uses a bump map, but can't seem to get it to work. Documentation is sparse.

The material of the object has an image hooked into the bump slot of that material (with the automatic Color2Vector node inbetween), but that doesn't seem to make a difference when I render the amb occlusion map. Has anybody done this successfully? I know that XSI is notoriously finicky when it comes to using bump maps in any shape or form...
