Hello,
First, all apologies for the nearly 100% off-topic post to the list.
But since many of you are going to Siggraph I thought I could get good
feedback.
So it is my first Siggraph, and with it comes it share of surprises.
One of those is a rather unpleasant one: I'm being aggressively
solicitated by all kinds of developers and service providers for
cocktails, breakfast, casual meetings, and even sales pitches. I don't
know any of these people and I have never asked to be sollicitated
like that.
I had this one guy calling me at the office to get me an appointment
at his booth, he sells NAS systems, God knows how he learned that we
just bought one, and I told him that I don't have a say about
equipment at the studio yet he insisted I meet his top-tech guy. Duh!
Hell, I just had one guy calling me at FRIGGIN HOME!!!!
So did I leave a dangerous checkbox checked when I registered or what?
