I didn't realise I could use being originally developed on Linux by an

And customizing it to meet our VFX needs hasn't been without its fair share

 GridEngine is great and handles a crazy amount of jobs (185k jobs per
day.... wow!) easily but I guess it would be overkill for smaller shops.
