Hey, I know what you mean (the reflection of the coin in the silver ring).  That does look strange (and it caught my attention too) but that's the type of reflection it gives from that angle, it is actually still slightly glossy (its not using anytype of 'ray_type' trick in the reflection slot, even though it looks almost completely the same with it).  There is a large area rectangular light in the left (blueish) and I guess from this camera angle the reflection comes out this way.

Tried to match the camera angle to the maxwell one as close as I could.
