20 Years ago, my father was involved in a project that
required some special processors from IBM that cost
thousands of dollars each. When examining the
shipment, he noticed the IBM sticker on the chip.
Peeling it back, he could see the name of the original
manufacterer. Turned out they could buy them direct
for a fraction of the price.
