Hey Dan,

The reason for this is because the tail in xsi uses global co-ordinates.
Easiest way to do this is, I think, to plot the rotation of the bones, then
remove all constraints from the bones AND the end effector of the chain.
Obviously after doing this your tail will no longer work, so you may just
want to mute the constraints... My experience with tails in xsi has generaly
been bad, so I tend to do this kind of thing by hand or by using a more
predictable method. ie expressions.

Hope that helps,

Subject: moving an animated tail problem

Hi,
I'm using the xsi tail to create a swimming motion on an eel creature,
I'm simply rotating the root of the tail to do this.
I would now like to animate the position of the creature along a path,
but to have the tail continue its swimming motion.
When I do this the tail animation is lost.
Anyone have advice an how I could achieve this please ?

Thanks
Dan
