Same here, lots of things I miss from XSI... I wish more would switch
over to XSI but it seems almost a impossible task. Here is sweden you
cant find any XSI users almost. There are a few, but not enough users
in one place to have a company :)
And no schools here are offering any kind of XSI support, thay are
using Maya or MAX. Here Avid has left us Softimage users out in the
cold. And fewer and fewer are seeing XSI as their main choice. At the
moment there are only two studios here in Stockholm using XSI. One
where I previously worked and made them switch, but they are only two
3D people. And Filmtecknarna, which is looking into switching over to
Maya because they just cant find anyone at all that has XSI
experience.

Anyhoo...

I hope it will change one day and that I will be back in the shiny
glowing XSI land again.

stefan

I'm glad my first production experience was with XSI as it has some
incredible tools that I really miss now that I'm in Maya. I thought it was
a huge waste not preserving the knowledge with some sort of side project to
keep skills sharp so XSI could have another launching platform. To go back
with the same team and address the wouldas, couldas, and shouldas might have
yielded even more discoveries. As a user, I'll say I miss the XSI
experience in production, and I wish there were opportunities nearby to
return to it.

Guess it could be worse. I'd could be stuck in Lightwave or something. :P
