i totally agree with jordi on this matter. i am no where close to big
productions and studio setups. usually i work in small teams of 5-10
ppl around me.
i decided that xsi has the best stuff to offer for my character driven
jobs and i train other co workers to start with simple tasks and later
on switching completely.
after the initial hurdles it becomes pretty obvious how powerful xsi
can be and therefore there is no much convincing work to do.
so what i and my small studio is doing, is to take the group that is
already working successfully in max and translate them slowly to xsi.
i totally agree that TD's and ppl with in depth knowledge can make a
difference in a production. but out of the box xsi lets get the job
done (agan, i am not talking about feature film). the list here is a
great ressource an di whish there would be a Production DVD's part two
for xsi5. these dvd's really give a LOT of knowledge, real worl
examples ad workarounds to you.
complaining wont change anything :) i am grateful for the great tool
softimage put on the table for a competetive price.
ciao
