The problem we've experienced the most is not with animators and artists, (they love XSI, and being able to remap the keys to fit a maya workflow has been really really helpful), it's been mostly with TDs from all types of backgrounds who just find it really painful to work with the SDK in its current state (as of 4.2 anyway).

Personally, I find that quite extraordinary and my observation has been that it’s not the case at all.  I certainly don’t believe that the Maya SDK is better than the XSI one.
