I have a model of a car, with grids as windows, I want to drop this car on its roof with the glass of the windows shattering out from the sides, what would be the best approach, I was thinking of adding heaps of edges to randomize the shapes of the glass pieces then extract each poly then extrude them to give them some thickness.

This seems like im going about this the long way? Any thoughts?

Regards
