There are two possibilities.
Solution one :
Simply turn off "Lens" in the Active Effect tab of the render option for the passes you don't want toon ink.
If you use other lens shaders in those passes it become a problem as "Lens" turn off all the lens shader for the pass.
In this case follow solution two...
Solution two :
As camera are not in partitions, you can't override their parameters by passes. The solution is to create a "dummy" geometry and to
add a custom parameter on it. The camera will be drived by this/those parameters.
1. Create a cube and delete all the faces to be sure it can't be rendered.
2. Add a custom parameter set on the cube.
3. Add a boolean parameter on in this pset.
4. Open two explorer and drag&drop this parameter in the "bypass" parameter of the Toon Ink Lens shader.
5. Add an override on the Background partition and pick the parameter in the cube.
This way you can turn off/on Lens Shader only for some passes.
Hope this help,
Cheers

Hello all,
I am trying to setup a camera with a preset toon lens shader into multiple
passes and trying to setup a custom overidde to the "bypass" property to
be turned on or off dependant on the pass. But for some reason I am not
able to get it to work as the overide value which is attach to the camera
will change values globally, not dependant on pass.
The basic idea, is to build passes, and add the same camera to all passes
(so I don't have to worry about multiple cameras with multiple lens
settings), but since one of my pass requires the toon lens shader which is
a property of the global camera, I need a way to turn it on or off for
different passes (which is the bypass parameter).
Can it be done, or do I need to setup different cameras ?
If anyone has sample code of how to set this up (ie how to access the
objects pass and camera lensshape objects in XSI/Jscript), I would greatly
appreciate hints and leads.
