Just freeze the mesh.....texture will move when moving components.  I of course assume that you need something different.  Do you want the UVs to distort according to how you you move the components around?  Thats pretty much what swim does.

Dragging and dropping the modeling ops onto the texture op sort of works but I have to apply another texture projection as my imported mesh's texture projection is frozen and doesnt have a texture op. In Max, there is a preserve UV's toggle and just trying to figure out the equivalent in XSI. Thanks for any tips!
